A fire sent about a dozen firetrucks to Broadway Street Friday afternoon in Kingsbridge, fire officials say.

Firefighters responded to Broadway Street off the Major Deegan Expressway at around 10 a.m. for a basement fire.

Michal Ofsky, the chief financial officer of Rental Masters, told News 12 he smelled some smoke and got everyone out. He says about 10 or 15 people were in the office working at the time. Rental Masters is the real estate company that owns the building, according to Ofsky.

It's unclear what caused the fire at this time.
