First responders spread some holiday cheer to kids at the Maria Fareri Children's Hospital in Valhalla on Tuesday.

They turned their sirens on and dressed their emergency service vehicles up for the annual Good Night Lights event.

Several people cheered and waved colorful lights as the Christmas-themed cars pulled up to the care center.

Organizers said the event was designed to bring the patients some joy during the holiday season.

"So many of our children, unfortunately, have to spend the holidays in the hospital, so this one way that they can connect and really brighten their day," said Physician-in-Chief Erika Rosenzweig.

Blue Santa and his elves also stopped by the event to make an appearance.
