Following an alleged recruitment scandal, Bruce Eugene and Brian Ellis reunited as a coaching team once again at Canarsie High School and are ready for another PSAL win.

The last time Bruce Eugene and Brian Ellis were on a PSAL football field together, they were raising the 2015 championship trophy at Yankee Stadium. Eugene was the head coach at Grand Street Campus, and Ellis was his defensive coordinator.
Six years later, they are back and ready for another championship win.
This time, Ellis is the head coach at Canarsie High School and Eugene is his offensive coordinator.
Eugene has not been a head coach since his 2015 title.  There were alleged recruiting violations which lead to his suspension and then firing from Grand Street, publicly.
They have since been given a second chance, but they're not planning on changing, even if they've been told that not everyone in the league is happy to have them back.
"A lot of people like to see us lose and want to see us lose so, I love playing the villain... but you know, for the most part, the villain, is actually always the true hero," Eugene shares.
Ellis and Eugene's new era is scheduled to be underway in less than a week.
