Officials in New York City are urging residents to stay warm amid freezing temperatures currently gripping the city.
Mayor Bill be Blasio issued a Code Blue warning as temperatures dipped down into the teens overnight.
The mayor is also asking the public to help those in need who are braving the cold, especially the homeless.
Members of the City's HOME STAT outreach team will be encouraging homeless New Yorkers to go to shelters and receive assistance.
