A barbershop in Greenpoint is snipping its prices for people who have lost their jobs during the pandemic.
Otis & Finn on Franklin Street is offering discounts to restaurant workers, artists and anyone who is unemployed due to the shutdowns.
There will be a 50% discount on all barber services. To get the discount let the barber know ahead of time. People can also get a free haircut from an apprentice at the shop.
Shawn Dixon, owner and co-founder of Otis & Finn, says offering discounts is a way of giving back to the community and a way to give people a fresh look.
“A lot of people have lost their jobs, so it’s important for us to keep offering the services,” says Dixon. “I think looking good is a big part of feeling good.”
Due to the positive response the business has received, the discounts have been extended to Jan. 15.
