New York City is under a heat advisory through Thursday evening, and Bronx residents are doing what they can to keep cool.
That advisory means children, the elderly or anyone with respiratory illnesses should make sure not to exert themselves too much outdoors and to make staying cool a priority.
Residents in Parkchester were seen hastily going about their business outdoors before heading into stores or their homes to feel some air conditioning.
Cooling centers are open around the city for people to escape the heat and humidity.
