The winner of a health care hero contest took a scenic helicopter ride above the Manhattan skyline Saturday.
Bronx EMT Drew Weeks, 24, was nominated by a friend for the contest put on by Awesome Flight, which provides helicopter charter services.
Weeks was a frontline worker when COVID-19 was hitting the city hard – working 16-hour days and 70-hour weeks.
He told News 12 that winning the contest makes him feel like all the hard work was worth it.
