Management at the Opera House Hotel says that it's safe to stay after it tested positive for the Legionella bacteria on Friday.
The East 149th Street hotel is just one of five locations in the Bronx to undergo extensive decontamination procedures due to the bacteria, which causes Legionnaires' disease.
Officials say the hotel immediately underwent a thorough cleaning as instructed by the city's Department of Health. They add that the hotel remains fully booked despite the Legionnaires' outbreak.
There are now more than 70 reported cases of the disease, including four deaths.
