Nearly 2,500 runners on Sunday morning took part in the Brooklyn Mile race benefiting the nonprofit organization Girls on the Run.
The runners made their way from South 10th Street, down Kent Avenue and crossed the finish line on North 9th.
The event attracts all types of runners from professionals to marathons enthusiasts each year.
