Family and friends of slain teen Emery Mizell gathered at Bronx Criminal Court once again on Tuesday.
Mizell was 17 years old when she was fatally stabbed in May 2024.
On Tuesday, her accused killer's appearance was waived, but family and friends filled the courtroom once again.
"It's just disappointing that, you know, that I will never see my daughter again," says Emery's mother, Trisha Almodovar.
A petition started by Mizell's cousin to protest against the possibility of bail has over 800 signatures.
"I would prefer that she don't get out at all because she doesn't deserve to live a life when my cousin's not here to live hers," says Emery's cousin, Latanya Mizell.
