North Haledon is suing T-Mobile in an effort to get them to take down a cell tower that is no longer being used.
The town has been trying to get the tower removed since 2020.
"It's not being used and it's an eye sore,” says Mayor Randy George. “Why should we have two cell towers next to each other, and the original contract from 20 years ago specifically states they have to take it down. We're just asking them to live up to the contract."
The lawsuit says the cellphone company should also pay to restore the area.
No court date has been set.
