Power went out for over 5,000 residents in the Whiting section of Manchester just after noon on Monday.
Many were forced to go to warming stations. The power was restored by Tuesday afternoon.
The outages affected residents of Manchester and Western Lacey, according to JCP&L. Being that this was a Cold Blue situation, the Manchester Police Department set up warming stations at Whiting Fire Company.
