The friend of a young man who was killed outside a Fordham night club over the weekend says all he wants is to give his friend the memorial he deserves.
Dennis Rodriguez was shot outside Xtreme Nightclub on Valentine Avenue early Sunday morning.
Rodriguez's friend and coworker, Jonathan Arroyo, says the 24-year-old was always busy juggling school and a full-time job. The night Rodriguez died, Arroyo says Rodriguez wanted to go out and relax.
There are many unanswered questions about what led up to the shooting. Two other victims were shot, one was slashed and one was beaten with a baseball bat in the incident.
Arroyo says he is hoping to bring peace to the family by raising money for Rodriguez's memorial.
News 12 is told a wake for Rodriguez will be held Sunday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Ortiz Funeral Home on Grand Concourse.
