Kevin Hart teamed up with The Children’s Place to open a new learning center at the Thomas Jefferson Play Center in Harlem.
The new space will have over 2,000 new books for kids to access.
Hart sat down with children at the ribbon-cutting event and read from his own book, “Marcus Makes a Movie,” which is about a boy with dreams of making his own blockbuster superhero film. He says he chose that book to remind kids to never give up on their dreams.
During the event, Hart gave out back-to-school T-shirts, sweatshirts and backpacks to students and parents.
