Kids and police officers from the 44th Precinct played a friendly game of basketball Tuesday to strengthen community relations.
The game was played as a way to help residents get to know those who work to stop violence every day.
"Once these young children see these police officers they just played with walking around the block, they'll feel comfortable now," says Commanding Officer Martine Materasso.
The game was organized with help from the Clay Avenue Tenants Association.
