A kitten was rescued along the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway on Wednesday.
Eddie and John are two cat rescuers from Long Island who received a call Wednesday morning about a kitten sitting along the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway since Tuesday night.
The pair of rescuers knew they wanted to help, and after reaching out to the NYPD for assistance, helped bring the kitten to safety.
The video captured moments after the kitten was rescued shows just how high the stakes were. John said that the situation was very risky, as the kitten could have fallen several feet or gotten onto the active highway at any point during its time up on the road.
The kitten is currently at the Brooklyn Cat Café, an adoption center and social space run by the Brooklyn Bridge Animal Welfare Coalition.
