A Long Island man is set to put his endurance to the test in the name of a good cause.
Wai Law, of Bethpage, will hit the pavement Friday to start a 555-mile run from Buffalo to Battery Park for Parkinson's disease research.
Law is doing it in memory of Ruben Almodovar, the father of a longtime friend who died four years ago after a long battle with the disease.
Law will complete his route in about 10 days.
Money raised will help with Parkinson's research at Stony Brook University.
Law will be running the newly completed Empire State Trial from Buffalo to New York City.
