Libraries across NYC host COVID-19 vaccine sites
In the Bronx, the program will run for the next three and half weeks at the Bronx Library Center, Allerton Library, Francis Martin Library, Soundview and Edenwalk libraries.

2h agoThe city is kicking off a new effort to get Bronx residents vaccinated.
Bronx Library Center is one of 10 libraries around the city that is getting the mobile COVID-19 vaccine buses outside of them over the next four weeks. The mobile clinic will give the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine, then help people set up appointments for their second shots at other city-run sites.
Anyone 12 and older can get vaccinated. According to city data, 43% of Bronx residents have gotten one dose of the vaccine so far, while 36% are fully vaccinated. Both of those numbers are the lowest of any borough.
News 12 asked people showing up what made them finally get the shot, and many responded it was due to the convenient location of the mobile clinics.
Besides the location at the Bronx Library Center, there will be four others in the borough - the Allerton Library, Francis Martin Library, Soundview Library and Edenwald Library. The bus is scheduled to be at them on different days over the next four weeks.
You don't need an appointment to get vaccinated at any of these library sites. You just need to bring a photo ID.
