316ds agoPolice have recovered a loaded gun that was found hidden in bushes outside of Brooklyn Academy High School.
The gun was found loaded and hidden inside of a backpack in the bushes across the street from the school. Police believe the backpack and gun were brought by a 16-year-old boy who attends the school.
The 16-year-old boy in question's girlfriend told officials that the student was planning to bring the gun. The 9mm weapon was loaded with seven bullets.
NYPD has confirmed that School Safety Agent Ryan recovered the firearm.
Police are currently questioning the 16-year-old suspect.
The Department of Education applauded the quick action following a concern raised by a member of the school community.
