The food industry is reaping the rewards of the busy holiday shopping season, including one long-term Hunts Point Market wholesaler. 

The 113-acre Hunts Point Market has been open since 1967, and Trucco Inc. has been there bringing fresh produce to the community nearly since the market's inception. During the holidays, Trucco Inc. CEO Nick Pacia says there’s one treat they specialize in – chestnuts.  

Chestnuts are a staple of the holidays, and Pacia says shipments come early and often this time of year.

“The time of the year is special, special because we really take care of the chestnuts,” said Pacia. “We do take a lot of pride because we do our best to produce, ship and deliver the best quality possible of our chestnuts.”  

They’re even taking them into the future, with their introduction of ready-to-eat chestnuts.
