Police are searching for a man who slashed a 14-year-old boy aboard a 4 train in University Heights.
Officers were called to the 183rd Street Station at around 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
Police say the man slashed the teen on his left hand with a sharp object.
The man exited the train after the attack and was last seen wearing a brown jacket and tan pants.
The NYPD says the teen stayed aboard the train and denied medical attention.
