Manhattan DA: Bronx man indicted in attack of elderly woman at Harlem train station

Bronx resident Blake Norton was arrested and charged with attempted assault in the first, second and third degree.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg announced on Tuesday that a 43-year-old Bronx man was indicted in an attack on a 60-year-old woman at a Harlem train station.
Bronx resident Blake Norton was arrested and charged with attempted assault in the first, second and third degrees. The incident took place on Sept. 1, when he allegedly attacked a 60-year-old woman with a wooden cane and belt, striking her over 50 times inside the West 116th Street and Lenox Avenue station
The woman suffered significant bruising and was forced to remain in the hospital for two weeks.
