21ds agoTwo icons have come together right here in New York City - Ghirardelli Chocolate Company and the Empire State building.
The team celebrated the grand opening of their first chocolate and ice cream shop in the city - located inside of the Empire State building. They marked the epic collaboration with the ribbon-cutting hosted by an icon and chocolate enthusiast herself, Mary J. Blige.
New Yorkers lined up early outside the shop since the first 102 New Yorkers in line received a hot fudge sundae for free.
"Were standing at the foot of the Empire State Building. It's the most iconic building in New York City...Ghirardelli, an incredible company, and Mary J. Blige together. That is just the perfect combination," said Ghirardelli CEO Joel Burrows.
