Mayor Bill de Blasio signed an executive order this morning, extending the city's Open Storefronts program until at least the end of September 2021.

Mayor Bill de Blasio signed an executive order this morning, extending the city's Open Storefronts program until at least the end of September 2021. 
Both the mayor and Deputy Mayor Phil Thompson say initiatives like this will encourage people to shop local and help the city's small businesses. 
As far as vaccinations around New York City, the mayor said that so far 67,116 New Yorkers have gotten the shot. On Dec. 23, over 12,000 people in New York got the vaccine.
