Monmouth Poll: 60% of Americans disapprove of overturning of Roe v. Wade

A majority of Americans do not agree with the United States Supreme Court’s decision to overturn the Roe v. Wade case, according to the Monmouth University Polling Institute.

A majority of Americans do not agree with the United States Supreme Court’s decision to overturn the Roe v. Wade case, according to the Monmouth University Polling Institute.
The poll found that 60% of those polled disapprove of the decision which now allows each state to decide if abortions are legal or illegal. The poll also found that 37% of those polled do support the ruling.
Views on abortion access have held stable after the ruling compared to June 2019. Two-thirds of Americans say that abortion should always or sometimes be legal. Nearly a quarter say that abortion should be illegal, with some exceptions.
Ten percent of Americans say that abortion should always be illegal.
