Gov. Andrew Cuomo released another list of bars whose liquor licenses will be suspended for violating COVID-related rules.
News 12’s Sabrina Franza was at Bar Tabac Thursday night in Boerum Hill with more on how they plan to move forward.
They say they just found out about the ruling and that until they are formally given charges, they can proceed as normal.
Bar Tabac says they employ about 22 people throughout the week.
The governor’s office says that back on July 24, the state's multi-agency task force saw seven employees without face coverings, which included the manager, a bartender, host and kitchen staff.
Investigators said they clarified COVID-related requirements with the owner of the liquor license.
However, management tells News 12 that they had also received warnings regarding drinking without also eating food -- something they say was unfairly issued because they feel investigators targeted those who had finished their food and were sitting with a cleared table.
On Tuesday, the state says 41 establishments were added to the same list, 38 of which are in the city.
