WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
There is still the opportunity for severe storms to pop up between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. A line of showers and storms will march through at this time period. The intensity will be dependent on afternoon heating and sunshine.
The risk remains for isolated flash flooding from bursts of downpours, lightning, damaging dusts and the chance for rotation and spin up. Stay weather aware for any severe thunderstorm warnings that could pop up during the evening.
The more the borough gets past sunset, the better the chances are for improvement.
The overnight will see conditions improve but remain a bit warm and moist.
Friday will be a much nicer day. Anticipate a clouded start with some clearing by the afternoon and mostly sunny skies to finish out the afternoon.
The weekend brings low rain chances, mainly Saturday late into early Sunday. There will be plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities, and temperatures will be above average and in the higher 70s.
Low rain chances kick off next week but with a drier pattern ahead. Temperatures will be fluctuating again, but this time between the near 80s, 70s and 60s.
