Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Hope Osemwenkhae says today will be sunny and pleasant.
Here’s what you need to know:
  • It’s cool, crisp and calm this morning. Temperatures are in the low-60s.
  • Today will be seasonable, mostly sunny and pleasant. Highs will be in the upper-70s.
  • We have one more dry day tomorrow with more clouds than sunshine in our sky. Humidity will be on the rise with some changes on the way starting on Wednesday through Friday.
  • Potential Tropical Cyclone Eight will likely become a tropical storm later today and bring heavy rain, coastal flooding, high surf and high winds to the North Carolina and South Carolina coastlines. This storm system will weaken as it tracks north and west, bringing rounds of rain and the potential for localized flooding starting overnight Tuesday into Friday.

This is still subject to change over the next few days. On Wednesday, on/off showers with a few downpours can bring a low risk of flooding. It stays unsettled, cloudy and humid Thursday and Friday.
