Levittown man arrested, accused in hit-and-run crash that killed motorcyclist

Patrick Thompson is charged with vehicular manslaughter, leaving the scene and DWI.

A Levittown man accused of killing a motorcyclist in a North Bellmore crash is facing a slew of charges.
Police say Patrick Thompson was driving the SUV westbound, on North Jerusalem Road near Sherman Avenue, around 11 p.m. Sunday when he hit the Harley Davidson.
The Levittown man then left the scene on foot and was tracked down by the Nassau police canine unit.
The 63-year-old motorcyclist, who has not yet been named publicly, died at the scene.
Thompson is charged with vehicular manslaughter, leaving the scene and DWI.
