Mott Haven manhole fire left Bronx residents without power overnight

A fire in Mott Haven Tuesday night has left residents in the area without power.

A fire in Mott Haven Tuesday night left residents in the area without power.
Near 500 Trinity Ave. in the Bronx, around 72 customers were without power into Wednesday morning. The loss of power started when there was a report of a manhole fire near the apartment building around 7 p.m.
The FDNY says it sent 60 firefighters to the scene and they were able to get the fire under control by around 9:45 p.m. No one was hurt from the fire.
News 12 has also heard reports of around 600 customers who were without power in Baychester, but they had power restored at around 3 a.m.
