The Bronx Summer Jam returned to Bronx Park on Saturday, bringing live music, food and art to residents as one of several events helping kick off the summer season in the borough.
Now in its fifth year, the free festival featured performances by local musicians, along with food vendors, art displays and family-friendly activities throughout the day.
Organizers said the event is designed to showcase Bronx talent while providing residents with free access to live entertainment. The festival ran for eight hours, allowing attendees to stop by throughout the day to enjoy performances and support local artists.
Organizers hope to attract an even larger crowd next year and create additional opportunities for local artists to perform.
