A Mott Haven park officially reopened Tuesday with a new look thanks to a multimillion-dollar makeover.
More than $3 million in city funding was used to renovate Ranaqua Park. The playground features new equipment and artificial turf for outdoor sports and activities.
City officials say the park makeover was long overdue. They say kids now have a safe place to have fun just in time for the warmer weather.
Ranaqua Park is one of 17 parks in the Bronx to undergo a renovation under the City Community Park Initiative.
