Residents in one Mount Eden building are taking a legal stand against their management company.
The tenants living at 115 East 169th St. say they’re fed up after a fire broke out on Feb. 11. It displaced eight families and is raising more concerns about the state of the building.
Residents tell News 12 that rodent infestations, broken locks on front entry doors and elevator issues are just some of the problems they’ve dealt with for a long time.
The group of tenants is now suing Denali Management and taking them to New York City Housing Court.
The building currently has 178 open violations according to the HPD website.
News 12 has reached out to Denali Management for a statement and is awaiting a response.
