Officials: 10 injured when MTA bus crashes into pole on Jerome Avenue

An MTA bus crashed into a pole along the elevated train tracks on Jerome Avenue, injuring 10 people, according to city officials.
Surveillance video obtained by News 12 shows the moment when the Bx32 bus slammed into the pole, shocking multiple people who were crossing the street at the nearby intersection of Jerome Avenue and West 181st Street.
According to the NYPD, 10 people were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment of their injuries. One of those 10 people was the operator of the MTA bus.
Law enforcement is still investigating the cause of the crash.
