Multiple businesses in Kingsbridge along W 235th Street remained closed Sunday, nearly a week after a power outage impacted the area.

It was overnight Monday when a transformer blew out and left an entire block without power.

News 12 was told on Friday that power should have been restored by the end of the weekend, but business owners in the area said Sunday night that it's looking more like Monday.

Con Edison said they are waiting on the landlord to replace and repair the internal electric equipment that was damaged.
