Police are asking for help identifying a group of men and women connected to a string of robberies across the Bronx.
The first incident took place at 1536 Westchester Ave. when a 62-year-old man was walking, and the group approached him. Police say the group began punching and kicking him, then tried to rob him. They weren’t able to take anything from him, so they fled the scene.
Authorities believe the same group may have been successful with three other robberies on Aug. 6.
That’s when police say the group assaulted a 33-year-old man of took his iPhone inside of a Parchester gas station. A 42-year-old man was also attacked and $50 were taken. A 37-year-old man was pushed to the ground, and robbed of his cellphone and $200 cash on Wheeler Avenue.
