Pieces of Native American history have been uncovered right in the Bronx.
A construction project to improve waterfront access in Pelham Bay Park ended up unearthing more than 200 Native American artifacts, dating all the way back to 200 A.D.
The city's Landmark Preservation Committee is assuring the public that the artifacts have been removed and will be taken care of.
The waterfront project may now need to be redesigned to protect the archaeological site.
