The Morris Jumel Mansion was completed in 1765 as a summer house for Rogger Morris, his wife Mary Phillipse and their family on approximately 135 acres of land.
With the outbreak of the American Revolutionary War in 1776, the Morris family abandoned their summer home.
Paranormal sightings have been reported by staff and those who dare to visit.
