8h agoA monkeypox vaccine site opens today in the Bronx as the city continues the effort to get more New Yorkers vaccinated against the disease.
For anyone who hasn't been able to get a vaccine yet, the new walk-in clinic at the health department opens today with 16,000 appointments available citywide by 4 p.m.
The health department says this new vaccine site at 1826 Arthur Ave. will be able to handle up to 100 walk-ins today for first shots of the monkeypox vaccine.
The clinic will be open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. to eligible New Yorkers.
As of Sunday, over 88,000 doses have been given throughout the city with just over 5,000 in the Bronx and 25,000 in Brooklyn.
The city is now seeing around a total of 3,200 cases as of this week with the most in Manhattan.
