New housing for seniors in Wakefield is quickly attracting applicants.

NYC Housing Connect says the six-story apartment building, located at 4750 White Plains Road, is attractive due to its rent prices, as well as being full of amenities.

People like Miss Alex say they are hoping to move in. She says she doesn't have peace of mind at her current home.

"Where I live, the violations are horrible," she said. "Seniors need to live in a place where it's warm and there are no roaches.

Fifty units are available to seniors, but requirements need to be met.
