This week is National Farmers Market Week, and Bronx residents are celebrating at the New York Botanical Garden.
The farmers market inside the New York Botanical Garden is all about getting green produce, while taking in the greenery.

Every Wednesday through October residents can take in the sights and smells of the fresh fruits, vegetables and baked goods.
This week, the farmers market is featuring a chef offering demos and free samples that highlight local fresh food.

"We don't get those kinds of available produce here sometimes in these food deserts, so bringing that into the community and not only bringing the ingredients, but helping them learn how to cook it and know what to do with it really helps the entire community eat better every day,” says Christopher Bilyk, corporate chef at Unilever.

Many say strolling and shopping is a way to unwind, get exercise and get inspired.

"What I like about the farmers market is most things are natural, it is so earthly, the atmosphere, the Botanical Garden, it's just beautiful,” says Karen Peters.
