New York's eviction and foreclosure moratorium expires Saturday.
The state Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance reopened its application portal earlier this week, even though the state doesn't have enough money to provide any more rent relief.
Applicants get protection from eviction while the state reviews their application.
Research site National Equity Atlas says 600,000 households in New York are behind on rent.
