New York Attorney General Letitia James said Saturday’s statewide gun buyback event yielded 3,076 guns, including 185 assault weapons.

All Saints Roman Catholic Church in Brooklyn was one of nine locations allowing residents to turn in guns for money.

The AG called it an amnesty program to promote community safety amid a rise in gun violence in neighborhoods across the city.

Officials said any number of guns could be turned in as long as they were unloaded and placed in a bag or box.

The amount of money varied depending on the kind of gun, the style and condition. Officials also said the money was put on gift cards.

“We've been working with the NYPD, and it’s been a very successful day," said assistant attorney general in charge Roberto G. Lebron. "We collected about 70 guns here in the Bronx.”

Between the Bronx and Brooklyn, a total of 157 guns were collected during the event.
