An empty one-story building at Hull Avenue and East 204th Street collapsed Monday as heavy rain and strong winds slammed the borough.
Steel, concrete and other rubble spilled onto the sidewalk, but no one was hurt.
It's unclear whether the weather played a role in the collapse.
Officials say the building was undergoing renovations to add a second floor.
The building once served as a grocery store and a bar.
