The concert was meant to celebrate the summer in the city and every single person in attendance had to be vaccinated.
Concertgoers say they were happy to be there.
“I feel great. Vaccinated and all, I feel great,” says one concertgoer.
Another attendee tells News 12 he was happy to be outside.
“It feels good to be outside," he says. "Keeping my distance though”.
Thursday’s lineup consisted of Big Daddy Kane, Desiigner, C&C Music Factory, DJ Mr. Cee and Elle Varner.
There are two concerts left, one in Queens and the grand finale concert in Central Park in Manhattan on Saturday.
This is all produced by the city, the Universal Hip Hop Museum and IDEKO.
