Gov. Andrew Cuomo is allowing theaters to reopen on Friday, but some theater owners think it’s a little too late.
Capacity will be limited to 25%. This means at most, theaters will only get a quarter of their normal revenue.
The owner of Cobble Hill Cinemas, Elgart,  says reopening won’t make much of a difference. But he says staff is getting ready to reopen for when the time is right.
Elgart tells News 12 he hasn’t decided on an official opening date for his theatre but is booking for small events.
When he does reopen, he says it will likely only be on weekends unless there is a high demand.
