A handful of NYCHA developments in Claremont Village received more than $1 million Monday to go toward upgrades.
City Councilwoman Vanessa Gibson gave out the checks, including one to the Morris Houses of $500,000 to renovate an aging playground.
Most of the rest of the money will go toward safety improvements, including $700,000 for security cameras at the Webster Morrisania Houses.
The senior center at 1020 College Ave. will also get safety upgrades.
