Police say a 19-year-old man was stabbed Wednesday morning on a subway train in the Bronx.

The victim was stabbed on board a northbound No. 2 train at the East 180th Street station around 8 a.m., investigators say.

The victim was taken to a hospital and is expected to be OK.

Police say the male suspect fled on foot while carrying a backpack and wearing a gray flannel.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call police.
