Two men are now behind bars and facing charges in connection to a beating that killed a Fordham Road street vendor earlier this month.

Romel Jarrett and Terrence Downes are facing charges that include attempted murder and assault. Police say both men are involved in the brutal attack that killed Leslie Sanchez on the night of Sept. 12.

News 12 is told Sanchez suffered multiple skull fractures after being hit in the back of the head with a bat.

The Bronx District Attorney's Office says Jarrett and Downes will appear in court on Oct.15.
