NYPD: 4 injured in 3 separate shootings within hours of each other in Crown Heights

It was another violent night in Brooklyn Thursday, where police say there were at least three shootings in a matter of hours. Police say the shootings in Crown Heights left four people with gunshot wounds.
According to investigators it happened around 11 p.m. Thursday. They say someone in a black vehicle pulled up to 1117 Saint Marks Ave. and started shooting. They say two men, who are both 28 years old, were struck. One was shot in the leg and the other in the backside. Both were taken to the hospital where they are listed in stable condition.
A little earlier, around 10:30 p.m. and less than two miles away, police tell News 12 a 60-year-old woman was shot in the knee on Mother Gaston Boulevard. She was taken to the hospital where she’s listed in stable condition.
Police also say less than an hour before that shooting, around 9:40 p.m., a 19-year-old was shot in the leg at 183 Wortman Ave. He is also listed in stable condition.
According to NYPD statistics there has been a 63% increase in shootings this year compared to last year. However, for this week alone there has been a 200% increase compared to this week last year.
